100% of the Collection Cycle

EFS C&R covers all collection phases and product types. From pre-collections (e.g. SMS notifications for high risk customers before the delinquency date) to early, restructuring, pre-legal, legal, write off and portfolio sale, all steps in collection and process, all transitions from one phase to the next are treated with tailored paradigms and practices. The same applies for all product types: retail or cooperate, revolving or not, leasing and factoring.

The objectives and goals of different user groups vary, and the focus shifts amongst high productivity (telephone center agents) to mobility (filed agents) or to workflow control (groups handling the legal cases). EFS C&R has been designed taking into account all user groups, and, while keeping a consistent data model, exposes the most suitable interface and utilizes the appropriate processing mechanism (e.g. rule engines of state machines ) to cover different usage scenarios.

Strategy Representation

We believe in intuitive tools to design strategies, policies and processes. EFS C&R provides a powerful, yet intuitive, graphical interface that enables business users to setup and maintain their strategies. Based on the requirements of the customer, every aspect of the strategy can be set-up using the most suitable paradigm. The representation is adapted to the specific business (sub)domains, and always expressed in business terms, understandable and editable by the collection managers. Different representational schemes are used at different stages: timelines for early collections, state diagrams and workflow for legal or event handling.

Conditions are expressed as rules. The underlying data model is exposed for direct use in simple or complex expressions, and can be extended through expression editors by the business users. Overall, we keep a continuous path for requirement elicitation to implementation, letting the business users express and edit every aspect of the strategies or systems parameterization in an understandable and straight-forward way.

    In house - Optimization

The EFS C&C agent module is designed for performance optimization and control. The collection supervisors set the guidelines of the call center operation, the distribution rules of the cases to agents and agent groups, the acceptable payment plan negotiations, the prioritization of treatment for the cases. The managers have a complete overview of the process and can at any point intervene to manually reassign or reorder the cases.

The agents have a 360º view over cases, accounts and customers. They can access the whole past payment history and all collection related activities. They receive guidelines on customer transactions as well as negotiation plans, and can escalate any case to their supervisor. Their performance is tracked and compered to their targets. The supervisors can hook alerts on their activity, in order to trace ‘out of the norm’ situations.

    Segmentation and Risk Based Approach

Portfolio segmentation is the basis of applying separate collection strategies to different parts of the delinquent portfolio. We provide the tools to break down the delinquent portfolio to the necessary number of populations, based on criteria selectable form the EFS Data Repository.

Risk is a major factor for the treatment of delinquent portfolios. We take risk into consideration when dynamically dividing the portfolio into segments. We can introduce scorecards to define the risk levels or use basic heuristic based risk rating. Based on the risk level of the segments, we can speed up the collection process and improve the effectiveness of the (limited) resources.

    What we offer

We can skip treatment for high-probability self-cure cases, prioritize treatment, offer suitable restructuring plans, customize the interaction and the timelines and skip entire steps. Since risk is intrinsic to the whole credit Cycle, EFS keeps a consistent risk assessment framework through all stages in terms of ratings, tools and reporting.

      Just Fill the Gap

The intuitive tools of EFS C&R, the embedded best practices, our methodology and our expert consultants can guarantee a smooth implementation, from requirement elicitation to deployment. A controlled step-by-step approach streamlines the process, staring from a structured and template-based requirement phase.

Best practice libraries are used as baseline for the analysis, and our consultants together with our custumers identify the gap to the new requirements. All EFS C&R aspects can be parameterized by business users: timelines, workflows, segments, users’ roles and groups, guidelines, payment plan templates, etc.
